Transcatheter ablation is rapidly becoming the treatment of choice for many supraventricular tachycardias.  Pulse conductions created in the heart are start by the human pacemaker in the heart called the Sino-Atrial Node, in the right upper chamber.  Supraventricular rhythms are rhythms that are intiatied in the upper chambers of the heart and not by the lower chambers called Ventricles.  Radiofrequency ablation has a success rate of over 90 percent, a low risk of complications.
